The World Reimagined

Region

Bradford

This exhibition is the culmination of intergenerational and international conversations explored through The World Reimagined’s Triangle of Unity Learning Programme. Each Globe captures the pupils’ reflections on heritage, identity, and our shared environment, offering powerful insights from the next generation. By amplifying young voices and their creative responses, The World Reimagined aims to strengthen community connection and promote deeper understanding across the UK.

About the Globe

Year 8 students created stylised doodles and images representing what makes them who they are. The background shapes are inspired by the floors of our school, bringing together the five themes: Our World, Our Countries, Our County, Our School, and finally, Ourselves.

About the Globe

Students from our special provision studied the imagery and iconography of national flags, exploring their cultural and historical meanings. They applied this understanding by creating printed designs representing nations across the globe.

About the Globe

We have presented our globe as a mixture of Climate Change and diversity. We split the sphere in many different sections and represented them as many problems around the world.

If we do not act fast on these situations the world will be dark, dull and damaged. The silhouette of a woman speaking out for her rights shows us that we can fight for what is right. The giant cut through the centre of the globe is telling us that the world is breaking.

Our purpose of this project is to spread the message about climate change inequality.

Break the Chain, End the Pain – Location: North Ambulatory (inside Cathedral)

About the Artist

This globe was created to represent the two ways to go about climate change. We have split the sphere into two completely different sides. One side shows an Earth broken ,dead, and hanging onto life. The other shows quite the opposite: healthy, thriving and full of life.

If we choose to ignore the signs any longer, we will see permanent damage, such as seen on our artwork. We will see unsafe gasses (from factories) polluting the air, greenhouse gasses rising to the atmosphere, heating the earth much more than is natural. On the other hand, the other face of our sphere shows what would happen if we looked after our planet. It shows a mother and her cubs, vegetation growing from anywhere and everywhere, and a beautiful galaxy lighting the night sky.

Our purpose is to help people understand that we need to take action. We need to save our planet, our home.

About the Globe

On the front of the Globe we drew animals such as pandas, monkeys, koalas and snakes to show that our world is full of variety and unique animals. We also drew things like factories with fire and steam coming out of the chimneys to symbolize the pollution in the air and that it is ruining our planet.

On the back of the globe there is a big one and counties/continents in the back to show that we are all equal. This design also has a second meaning. The second meaning is you only live once so live your life to the fullest and always be nice to each other and the environment.

On the base of the Globe we decided on a quote. The quote we chose was “we only have one earth, one chance”. This quote symbolizes the fact that you only have life on this Earth so you need to use your chance on earth to try your hardest to save it and we should respect it.

Equality and Animal Rights Around the Globe – Location: West End (inside Cathedral)

IMMANUEL COLLEGE

About the Globe

We looked at how our actions can affect the planet and how climate change can destroy the natural habitat. We wanted to show the different effects of global warming on the planet and how it is already ruining lives.

Our message is that together we must stop what we have caused. We can do this if we all work together to reduce carbon emissions and put the planet first.

About the Globe

Our globe tells the story of our planet’s struggle with equality and animal rights. The globe is split into sections in which we have depicted the devastation that the planet is going through.

We wanted to highlight the importance of equality and everybody has the right to a happy life and justice. We also wanted to show that we need to protect all the creatures on the planet before it’s too late.
