From August to October 2022, The World Reimagined public sculpture trails saw 3.5 million people engage with The World Reimagined globes. The globes come from our desire to build a full understanding of The Transatlantic Trade in Enslaved Africans and all of its consequences, and at the heart of our mission and work is community. For those committed to the work of racial justice, we know how hard it is to raise money, as well as how hard it has been historically. The World Reimagined wants to honour the countless people and organisations who do the work of making racial equality a reality, and to support in a way that helps to continue and grow the wonderful work you do.
To do that, we hope you’ll apply for our Legacy Community Grant. The grant awards £5,000 to an organisation from one of the cities that hosted our globes (Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool City Region, London, Oxford, Swansea). The grant is open to all organisations with a turnover of less than £75,000 and as it is unrestricted, you can use it for the work you already do. By applying, you confirm that your work will embody the values of The World Reimagined.
