A YouGov poll commissioned by The World Reimagined and The Good Law Project has revealed that 72% of UK adults agree: “As a society, public education about the reality of the British Empire is important in order for us to understand Britain’s multicultural society.”

The poll is part of the No Room for Slavery Campaign, which is calling on the British Museum to establish a permanent exhibition on transatlantic slavery.

The World Reimagined’s co-founder, Michelle Gayle, has said:

“The World Reimagined is passionate about education. It’s important for educators and organisations to realise that Black history is, in fact, all our history. The positive coverage of the poll is a step in the right direction.”
